Geraldton Buccaneers Cheerleading

About our cheerleading:

Since 2022, we have been the official cheerleaders for the Geraldton Buccaneers NBL1 Basketball Team. 

At each home game throughout the season, our Cheerleaders provide entertainment in time outs, half time and cheering on the sidelines for the duration of the game.

How to become a Buccs Cheerleader:

Cheerleading is open to all students who are enrolled in classes with us at Platinum Dance Company. 

We strive to offer these experiences to all students, however, please consider the following when considering joining the cheer squad:

- Must be enrolled in classes at Platinum Dance Company. We recommend as many classes as possible to provide your child with adequate performance training and confidence.

- Must be at least 6 years of age (games can run as late as 9:30/10pm with no option of sitting down throughout the game which may be difficult for younger students)

- Must be available for ALL games scheduled (we generally split the season into two halves (this means if they are not available for all dates for one half, they may be able to join for the other half). Please note we will not take students who are not available for all games advised. 

- Students must be in attendance for all practices. We understand that people have other things on, however if you would like to participate you will need to ensure you are committed and all practices and games will need to be made a priority.

Information for 2024 cheerleading will be released prior to the season next year. To ensure you receive this information, please ensure you are registered through our online system.
